Nursing and Residential Homes

Whether you have one resident or 50 I would be delighted to visit them. Many nursing home patients are not aware of visual problems which underlines the need for routine checks. I bring with me the equipment necessary in order to perform a full eye examination and issue a prescription for glasses. I then discuss their requirements with them, you and next of kin, and make recommendations according to visual needs, whether this relates to the eyes, glasses or surroundings.

I bring with me a wide range of frames from which to choose, some of which are free for qualifying patients. I help you to make the correct choice of frame and lenses.

When the glasses have been manufactured and have passed my quality standards I will return to fit them. Glasses are usually manufactured within two weeks, sometimes sooner. I will ensure that your new glasses fit comfortably and leave a case and a spectacle cleaning cloth. My service does not stop there, I provide aftercare where necessary and I will remind you when it is time for me to come and visit you again.
